Owner, Floral Department, Business and Wedding Consultation

When Priska is not at work, she prefers to spend time with her husband and two children. She enjoys sailing with her family on Lake Thun and loves learning new things.

Priska Kaspar Jayme grew up in Thun Switzerland and spent her childhood years surrounded by flowers. She always loved crafting things and helping her parents with little bouquets and arrangements for the store and farmers market.

In summer of 1993, she started her apprenticeship as a floral designer in Steffisburg where she worked for Blumen Gerber. After spending some time abroad she returned home in 1997 to work at her family business. A couple of years later, she received an opportunity to intern for a large floral shop in the San Francisco Bay Area at Ah Sam Flowers. She worked there for a few years before returning home in 2001.

In 2002 she married and moved back to San Francisco, working again at Ah Sam before accepting a position as the lead floral design and project manager at Sillapere Events and Environments. There she had the opportunity to design many large scale events in several US States including Nevada, Arizona, New Jersey and Florida. However, most of her event experience comes from beautiful California destinations including Napa Valley, San Francisco, and Monterey Bay.

In 2008, Priska and her friend Lisa Boone opened an event design studio in San Francisco called Atelier Joya LLC.  Together they grew Atelier Joya into a very successful company, working tirelessly on hundreds of large scale indoor and outdoor events. They worked with some of the best event planners, photographers and caterers in the US including Alison Events, Shannon Leahy Events, Elizabeth Messina Photography, Paula Le Duc Catering, Jose Villa Photography, and many more. Their work was also featured in many magazines including Martha Stewart, Ceremony, Brides, The Knot, Grace Ormonde, and many more.

After seven amazing years, Priska made the tough decision to leave Atelier Joya and her best friend Lisa to take over the family business back home.  Her parents were finally retiring and wanted to pass down their business to their children.  With her unique experience and expertise, she is helping bring her modern international styles to Switzerland.
