Andrea Kaspar was born in Thun, Switzerland. As a child, she spent a lot of time in nature and was already an enthusiastic hobby gardener.

In 1999 she started her apprenticeship as an ornamental gardener at the Oeschberg Cantonal Horticultural School in Koppigen BE. In her third year of the apprenticeship, she worked in the Schilliger garden center in Gland VD and completed her internship there.

In 2002 she accepted a position as an ornamental gardener at Blumen Roggli in Uetendorf where she worked in the production of young plants.

In 2003 she decided to go back to school to get her master’s degree in horticulture at the Cantonal Horticultural School in Oeschberg. After completing her schooling, Andrea accepted a job at the Schilliger garden center in Matran FR and worked in sales and maintenance.

From 2005-2018 she worked in sales and production at Blumen Kaspar and was responsible for apprenticeship training, led introductory courses and worked as an examination expert. During those years she also earned a degree in floristry.

Today Andrea and her sister Priska are the third generation to run the business.
